Supplements
Take up to
5000 units of Vitamin D3 SUBLINGUAL daily; also add 400 IU of natural vitamin E as water-soluble d-alpha tocopheryl succinate, not as oil-filled capsules. In addition, once a day take one vitamin E capsule with gamma tocopherol or natural mixed tocopherols.
Experiment with additional vitamin C, up to 10 g daily in divided doses, partly as calcium ascorbate, the rest as buffered vitamin C.
Initially, weekly vitamin B12
SUBLINGUAL (1000 mcg) may be beneficial. Alternatively or subsequently, absorb a 500-mcg vitamin B12 tablet (methylcobalamin) under the tongue once a day.
Mix a teaspoon of lecithin granules with each meal as a source of acetylcholine. In advanced or difficult conditions, you may also take 5 capsules of Cognitex a day. This contains choline as well as synergistic cofactors.
Another beneficial supplement is vitamin A taken as a liquid emulsion. Normally 5,000 to 10,000 IU once a day is sufficient. Watch out for signs of overdose, in particular headaches, dizziness, blurred vision, joint pain, dry lips, scaly and dry skin, and excessive hair loss. Beta-carotene is not a suitable substitute for vitamin A for this purpose.
Licorice root should be beneficial in all conditions to activate the adrenal glands. Take one capsule (450 mg) with each meal. However, do not use it with high blood pressure.
If the digestion is weak, use digestive enzymes and possibly hydrochloric acid tablets with cooked protein meals.
